结构的维度

TheconceptfortheCAMERICHpavilionstemsfromworkingthroughanumberofdualities:nature/artifice,chaos/sanctuary,objects/theviewer,andtradition/innovation.

空间设计理念始于如恩对二元论的思考。自然与人工、混沌与圣所、物件与观者,传统与创新……这些元素看似对立,实则相互依存。通过梳理、交合看似相悖的元素,如恩从潜在的冲突中汲取张力,并试图寻找到和谐的共存方式。

Respondingtothebrand'sinvitationtorethinkexhibitiondesignwithinthecontextofinternationalfurniturefairs,Neri&HuexploresthepossibilitiesofcreatingaStructuralField,asawaynotnecessarilytoarriveataharmonioussynthesis,butperhapstoholdtheseseemingcontradictionsinsuspensionforthedurationofthistemporaryinstallation.

竹子作为一种储量丰富、生长迅速的可再生材料,自古以来在世界许多地区都被视为绝佳的建筑材料之一。天然的竹子表皮散布斑点与纹路,截面呈椭圆状,竹节有大有小,透露着自然生长的痕迹。而现代技术又拓宽了竹子在建筑领域的应用范围。

Thechoiceofbamboointersectsthesesetsofdualities.Asanabundant,fastgrowing,renewablenaturalmaterial,bambooinAsiaandmanypartsoftheworldisalsooneoftheoldestbuildingmaterials.Althoughmoderntechnologyhasexpandedtheconstructionapplicationofbamboo,thelignifiedfibrousstalks,withitsjointsandorganicprofile,oftenretainmarksofnaturalgrowth.

如恩从竹子中汲取灵感,将展陈空间打造成一座竹林。一千多个竹结构规律地排列成矩阵,抽象而理性,犹如缜密的数学演算,区隔了内外空间。观者进入竹林,步道所及之处,层层叠叠,密实交错。

Inthepaviliondesign,Neri&Husetsover1,000verticalbamboomembersonaregulargridtoalludetoasenseoftheexterior.Throughasmallentry,visitorsareinvitedtobeginajourneythroughaseriesofframedviews,andintermittentlayeringofbambooandspacesbeyond.

竹林的密度不断变化,观者与家具之间的关系亦不断转换。如恩将休息室、客厅、起居室等日常生活场景融入行进步道中,而非将家具安置在传统的展台上或者展示空间中。

Withinthevaryingdensityinthefield,therelationshipbetweenobjectsandspectatorisconstantlyshifting.Astheexhibitiondidnotprovidepedestalsorspecialdisplaymechanismsforthefurniturepieces,scenesofeverydaylife–smallsittingareas,thelivingroom,thebedroom,contemplationniches,etc.–arefullyintegratedwithinthepathoftheviewer.

时而,步道狭窄蜿蜒,观者可远观前方的家具。时而,步道开放宽阔,观者融入了日常的家庭场景。

Attimes,thenarrowandwindingwalkwaygivesthevieweraglimpseofthevignettesahead,maintainingadistancebetweenthespectatorandtheobjects.Inthepublicareaswherethefieldopensup,thevisitingspectatorbecomesembeddedaspartofthedomesticscene,fullyoccupyingthesettingwherethepresenceoffurnitureencouragesuserinteraction.

观者从旁观者转变到场景主人公,沉浸于竹林的维度之中,亦沉浸在自己想象的生活舞台中。

Inotherwords,"athome"withtheobjects,thespectatortakesontheroleofaparticipant,ondisplayaspartoftheexhibition.Thetransformationfromtheroleofa"spectator"toa"character"onviewandback,allowsthevisitortobeimmersednotonlyinthephenomenonofthefield,butalsoinone'sprojectedspaces,astageforlife.

作为临时空间,竹林组装灵活,可因地制宜延展出不同的可能性。特别设计的竹结构及连接部件可满足于短时内组装、拆卸的需求。

Asatemporarystructure,theStructuralFieldisalsoportableandscalable.Inordertobringthepaviliontootherinternationalfairsites,specialconnectiondetailsandmodularunittypesweredesigned.

嵌入式钢板、竹构件的燕尾榫,以及挠度和细长比的整体结构设计,打破了临时空间的传统设计理念。

Inadditiontomeetingtherequirementsofassemblinganddisassemblinginamatterofdays,theparticularsettingofexhibitingworld-classfurnitureanddesignalsoinspiredustopushtheenvelopeofbuildingcraftsmanshipandtechnology.

而竹子的温和气质与家具的自然沉静相得益彰,阐释了锐驰对于家与自然和谐共生的美好向往。竹在中国传统文化中拥有深厚的历史底蕴。展厅内简练的空间语言与构造细节则为其增添现代注脚,引发观者对于传统与创新这组二元关系的探讨。
